  • Honors level Biology at Presentation of Mary Academy
  • Advanced Chemistry is a continuation of the Honors Chemistry program. Students in the AdvChem(H) program will be expected to begin at Chapter 13 ("KInetic Theory") and complete the text. The classwork, homework and laboratory will be rigorous, as befits an Honors level program. Students completing AdvChem(H) would be prepared for the SAT II examination. A Final Examination is compulsory.
  • This is a survey course in physics which stresses analyzing and solving problems in various areas of physics, including Motion in one and two dimensions, Forces and the Laws of Motion, Circular motion and Gravitation, Energy and Work, Momentum and Collisions, Fluid mechanics, Heat and Thermodynamics, and Vibrations and Waves. The course is based on Holt Physics, 2006 edition.
  • Chemistry I (Honors) is a year-long introductory (survey) course in chemistry taught at the Honors level. The course of study covers the properties of matter, atomic structure, periodicity, chemical formulas, equations and stoichiometry and the kinetic theory. This course will also address states of matter, gas laws and solution chemistry.
  • Chemistry I (CP) is a year-long survey course in general chemistry topics taught at the College Placement Level. The course covers matter and its properties, atomic structure, periodicity, elements, and compounds, chemical formulas, chemical equations and stoichiometry. Additionally, the kinetic theory and states of matter will be addressed.
